I never planned to become a pastor.
ABOUT FRANK
I love helping people see what they’ve been reading all along.
I’m Frank Vandy—a pastor, Bible teacher, and author with a passion for helping people understand Scripture and see how the whole story fits together.
Some of my favorite moments in teaching happen when someone suddenly sees a connection they’ve never noticed before.
A promise in Genesis. A prophecy in the Old Testament. Something Jesus said in the Gospels. An image in Revelation.
And suddenly, pieces that seemed disconnected begin to form one story.
That’s why I teach.
I don’t want to simply give you my conclusions. I want to help you open your Bible, look closely at the text, see the connections for yourself—and ultimately see Jesus more clearly.
PASTOR | BIBLE TEACHER | AUTHOR | HUSBAND | DAD | GRANDPA
For most of my life, becoming a pastor wasn't part of the plan.
I loved studying Scripture. I loved teaching it. And I loved those moments when someone would suddenly see something in the Bible they had never noticed before.
But I didn't necessarily see in myself what God was preparing me to do.
Someone else did.
My friend Shannon and I had served in ministry together, and she saw something in me before I saw it in myself. She was the one who first asked me to become a pastor. Later, when we planted One Hope Community Church together, she asked me to serve alongside her as co-pastor and teaching pastor.
Looking back, I can see how God had been preparing me long before I recognized where He was leading.
And somewhere along the way, I discovered something:
I didn't simply love studying the Bible.
I loved helping other people fall in love with studying it too.
That passion has never left me…
HOW I APPROACH SCRIPTURE
I believe the Bible is meant to be understood.
Scripture can be deep without being inaccessible.
My goal isn't to impress you with what I know. It's to help you see what the Bible actually says—and give you the tools to see it for yourself.
That means slowing down. Paying attention to context. Asking why a passage was written. Following themes across Scripture. And allowing the Bible to interpret the Bible.
Because when we begin seeing those connections, something remarkable happens:
The Bible stops looking like a collection of disconnected stories and begins to look like one unfolding story.
And at the center of that story is Jesus.
UNDERSTAND THE TEXT
What does Scripture actually say?
SEE THE CONNECTIONS
How does it fit with the rest of Scripture?
SEE JESUS
Where does this fit in God's story of redemption?
Understand the text. → See the connections. → See Jesus.
COME STUDY WITH ME
The best way to know what I believe is to open the Bible with me.
Whether we're walking through the Gospels, exploring Bible prophecy, wrestling with a difficult passage, or following a theme from Genesis to Revelation, my invitation is the same:
Open your Bible. Look again. And see Jesus.
I'm glad you're here.
