The Blood Path

The Ancient Covenant That Points Us to the Cross

Genesis 15 contains one of the strangest scenes in Scripture: animals divided in two, a path between the pieces, a deep darkness, and God passing through the covenant path while Abraham sleeps.

But once we understand what is happening, this ancient covenant becomes one of the Bible’s most powerful pictures of God’s faithfulness—and points us forward to the cross.
